Brandon awarded Chain Reaction Innovations Fellowship

CavilinQ is proud to announce that our CTO and Co-Founder, Brandon Grinkemeyer, has been selected as one of five Chain Reaction Innovations (CRI) Fellows at Argonne National Laboratory.

The CRI fellowship is a highly competitive two-year program that supports top innovators working on transformative energy and science technologies. Fellows gain unparalleled access to Argonne’s world-class facilities, research expertise, and business development resources, enabling them to accelerate the commercialization of high-impact technologies.

Brandon’s work at CavilinQ focuses on pioneering fabrication methods for ultra-high-finesse optical microcavities—technology that opens new frontiers in quantum communication, sensing, and computation. These advancements have the potential to significantly improve the performance and scalability of quantum systems, addressing critical challenges in the emerging quantum economy.

Through the fellowship, Brandon will work closely with Argonne’s scientists and engineers to further refine CavilinQ’s microcavity technology, explore new quantum applications, and lay the groundwork for scaling up production. The program also offers tailored business mentorship, helping ensure a smooth path from breakthrough research to market-ready products.
